Johnston Crash Leaves 1 Dead, 1 In Critical Condition
An East Providence man was killed when his dirtbike crashed into a Jeep in Johnston.
JOHNSTON, RI โ A serious crash between a Jeep and a dirt bike on Wednesday afternoon took the life of on man and left another in critical condition. Michael Viscolosi, 25, was pinned beneath the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened at the intersection of Allendale Avenue and George Waterman Road. Viscolosi and Nicholas Cambio, 24, of North Providence, were on the dirt bike when it collided with a Jeep. When emergency responders arrived, Viscolosi was pinned underneath the Jeep. Once freed, he was declared dead at the scene.
Cambio was rushed to the hospital and, following surgery, was listed in critical condition.

Three people were in the Jeep at the time of the crash. None were injured. The driver is fully cooperating with the investigation, Johnston police said.
According to police, both speed and impaired driving have been ruled out as a cause of the crash. Police are still tyring to figure out who was driving the dirt bike when the crash happened.
