Joy Homestead Seeks Volunteer Weaver
The Joy Homestead needs a few backup weavers to relieve Donald Carpenter for the times he can't come to show schoolchildren how to weave.

The Joy Homestead on Scituate Avenue needs people who would like to learn the basics of weaving and would enjoy showing local schoolchildren how the Joy family made their own cloth.
Weaver Donald Carpenter will show you how to weave in a session without the children. Aftewards, you'll fill in for Donald when he can't make it.
The weaver position is part of the educational program run at the homestead for the past 27 years. The program runs once a week during the school year with a break from December to March.
