Lingerie Looter: Woman Caught With Loads Of Stolen Victoria's Secret Stuff, Cops Say
Police say they recovered about $30,000 worth of stolen clothing from the woman's Cranston apartment.

CRANSTON, RI — A Cranston woman was caught with a pile of stolen Victoria's Secret merchandise pilfered from stores throughout New England for nearly a year, police said.
Lisa Robertson, 54, was charged with receiving stolen goods as a result of an investigation of a "multi-state organized retail theft operation," the Cranston Police Department said in a media release.

Police launched their investigation of Robertson in October "after receiving credible information alleging her involvement in an organized retail theft operation spanning multiple New England states, according to the release.
"Information developed during the investigation indicated that Robertson allegedly traveled
throughout New England on weekends, stealing merchandise from major retail establishments
and returning the property to her residence in Cranston, Rhode Island," the release said.

"Surveillance efforts, license plate reader data, and investigative analysis established a consistent pattern of behavior involving the use of rental vehicles, booster bags, and other tools designed to defeat retail security systems," the release said. "Additional corroboration was obtained through prior anonymous correspondence received by the department, as well as through coordination with regional law enforcement agencies and retail asset protection managers."

Police obtained a warrant and searched Robertson's Atwood Avenue apartment about 4:30 p.m. Jan. 22, according to the release.
"During the execution of the warrant, investigators recovered approximately $30,000 in suspected stolen merchandise from multiple regional retailers," the release said. "Investigators also seized implements commonly associated with organized retail theft, including a large booster bag and devices used to remove retail security tags."

Victoria's Secret loss prevention personnel employing a retail computer scanning system "identified at least 107 Victoria's Secret items originating from 12 different store locations throughout New England" among the trove of stolen clothes, according to the release.

"Some items were scanned at retail locations as far back as February 2025," the release said, while others had been scanned as recently as Jan. 18.

Robertson surrendered to police Jan. 28, was arraigned in the Third District Court and released on her own recognizance, according to the release.
"This investigation remains active and ongoing as detectives seek to determine the scope of the illicit operation and identify any other individuals who may have been involved," the release said.
