Police Searching for Cranston Bank Robber
This man robbed the Bank of America branch on Park Avenue Wednesday morning.
Cranston police are asking the public to help them identify the man who robbed the Bank of America branch Wednesday morning.
The man, described as a black male standing between 5 feet 8 and 10 inches tall, walked into the bank at 1000 Park Avenue at 10:23 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding cash.
The note said that if she didn’t empty the cash register, she’d be shot.

Police said the man kept one hand in his pocket which led the teller to believe that he was armed.
The suspect fled on foot with a few hundred dollars cash in an easterly direction on Park Avenue.

Nobody was hurt in the robbery, said Cranston Police Capt. Sean Carmody.
Police hope someone who recognizes the suspect will call 911 if they see him out and about. He is considered armed and dangerous.
