Residents Evacuated after Fire in Knightsville Manor

Firefighters responded to the Knightsville Manor hi-rise on Briggs Street early this morning to battle a fire on one of the floors.

Many residents of the complex were evacuated, according to reports, and fire crews were trying to suppress the sprinkler system to minimize water damage. 

Along with fire crews, police and rescue officials responded to the scene.

Reports indicate the fire broke out on the sixth floor.
