RI Capitol Police Officer Accused Of Wallet Theft At Casino
David J. Bradley, 59, is accused of picking up a dropped wallet at Twin River in Lincoln and walking out of the casino.
LINCOLN, RI — A Rhode Island Capitol Police officer was arrested at Lincoln's Twin River Casino last week. David J. Bradley, 59, of Meadow Drive in North Providence, was charged with larceny over $1,500.
Bradley's Thursday arrest stemmed from an incident at the casino on Nov. 1. According to state police, a patron at Twin River dropped his wallet with $1,700 in cash. Bradley was reportedly seen picking up the wallet before leaving the casino. Twin River security officers stopped him in the parking lot, where they found the wallet. The theft and retrieval were both captured on the casino's security cameras, police said.
Bradley was arrested and brought to the state police barracks in Lincoln, where he was processed before his arraignment in Third Division District Court and release on $5,000 personal recognizance. He is set to appear in court again on Feb. 6.
