Santa Arrives in Garden City Center Today

At 11 a.m. in Garden City Center, a man with a red suit, a belly full of jelly and a big white beard will be arriving.

It's Santa, and he'll be joined with his helper elves and Mrs. Claus to take pictures with children, hear what they want for Christmas and help to usher in this year's holiday fun.

Santa will be enjoying the newly-refurbished gazebo this year in the busy shopping center, which is in the midst of a major renovation.

Families will be able to enjoy face painting, trolley rides, hayrides, music and a visit with St. Nick himself.

Cookies and hot chocolate will be for sale, a portion of the proceeds going to help the RI Community Food Bank.

For those wishing to have pictures taken with Jolly Ole St. Nick, this year Garden City Center is partnering with Noerr Productions to offer a magical Santa experience along with professional photographers in a cabin built especially for Santa by Reeds Ferry Sheds near the gazebo. During the holiday season, Santa will be available for visits and professional photo packages on Wednesdays – Saturday from 10am to 8pm and Sundays from 12-6pm.
