Shop 'Til You Drop: All Aboard the Bus to NYC

The city parks department has arranged a bus trip on Dec. 3 to New York. Shopping is optional.

CRANSTON, RI — Shoppers and day-trippers can hop a bus to New York City on Dec. 3. The trip's been arranged by the city's parks department and the Somerset, Mass. recreation department.

According to Scott Sevegny, the bus leaves the Cranston Veterans Memorial Ice Rink on Dec. 3 at 6:30 a.m. Fee is $50 per person.

Register at the Recreation Office, 1090 Cranston St., 2nd Floor, on Mondays thru Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There is one brief stop at the Somerset Town Hall. Then it's on to Manhattan for "a self-guided tour through New York" to "experience the city that never sleeps during the beautiful holiday season," he said.

Fee is $50 per person. Bus leaves the for New York, with a brief stop at Somerset Town Hall.
