Temple Sinai Students Create Family "Ketubot"

The ketubah is a document that is considered a key part of a traditional Jewish marriage. The students created a family ketubah to outline what is most important to their families.

Last week at Temple Sinai, Eric Abbott’s fifth grade Religious School class participated in a Family Ketubah Workshop.

Along with learning about the significance of the ketubah, the students and their families made a "family ketubah" to describe what matters most to their individual families.

Later this month, the students will be participating in a mock wedding. It's part of their year of learning about Jewish life cycle events.
