Thunderbirds Vying for Spot in Playoff Finals
The Thunderbirds Girls hockey team had a strong weekend, defeating Barrington in game two after a tough loss in Game one. Game three is tonight at Portsmouth Abbey.

The Cranston Thunderbirds co-op girls hockey team is hoping to earn a spot in the Rhode Island Interscholastic League finals this upcoming weekend at Providence College.
To do it, they need to win against Barrington tonight. The game starts at 5 p.m. at Portsmouth Abbey.

This past weekend, the team lost game one to Barrington, the top seed. The Thunderbirds, ranked no. 4, won game two in a long battle that included two sudden death overtimes and a shootout that went 13 shooters deep.
With that win under their belts, the team is hoping to carry the momentum to the ice tonight.
