Thunderstorms Expected In RI Before Sunny Skies The Rest Of The Week
After a Monday thunderstorm, we're looking at mostly clear skies and temperatures in the high 80s the rest of the week.
RHODE ISLAND — Rhode Island should have some nice beach days this week, but first, we'll likely have to get through some nasty thunderstorms Monday.
The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather alert for Monday, as showers and scattered thunderstorms are expected after 10 p.m. Strong to severe storms are possible, with the main risk of damaging wind gusts and locally heavy downpours. Wind gusts could reach 30 mph.
Then starting Tuesday, we're looking at mostly clear skies and temperatures in the high 80s for the rest of the week. Wednesday might hit 90.

Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 88. Tuesday night will be mostly clear with a low around 71.
Wednesday
Sunny, with a high near 90. Wednesday night should be mostly clear, with a low around 72.
Thursday
Mostly sunny with a high near 86, but there should be a breeze, especially near the ocean, with winds of 10 to 20 mph. At night, expect clear skies and a low of around 70 and wind gusts up to 25 mph.
Friday
Sunny, with a high near 88. Southwest wind 7 to 11 mph. Friday night is expected to be clear, with a low around 69
Saturday
Sunny, with a high near 88. Southwest wind 6 to 14 mph. Saturday night should be partly cloudy, with a low around 69. Southwest wind 6 to 1 mph.
