Traffic Alert: Crash Closes Lane On I-95 South In Providence
The crash happened just as the busy evening commute got underway.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A crash on Interstate 95 South closed one lane of the busy highway in Providence, just in time for the evening commute. The crash happened at Exit 18, Thurber's Avenue, just before 4 p.m., according to the Rhode Island Department of Transportation, and was cleared within half an hour.
As of 4 p.m., the right-center lane of the highway was closed. Because of the crash, RIDOT disabled the traffic camera in the area, though Google Maps showed moderate traffic in the area.
By 4:30 p.m., the crash was cleared, RIDOT said, though backups had only worsened in the area.
