van Beuren Talk to Address Future of Historic Cities
The event on Aug. 15 is free and open to the public.
The van Beuren Charitable Foundation invites the public to the inaugural talk in its Landscapes and Built Environment speaker series, “The Future of Historic Cities: Perspectives on Managing Change,” at the Stanford White Casino Theatre, located at 9 Freebody Street in Newport, RI. The event will be held on Friday, August 15th from 9:00 - 11:00 am.
The topics, “Preservation Futures” and “The Road to Immortality: Adaptive Reuse Past and Present,” are presented by Dr. Randall Mason, Chair of Historic Preservation, School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania and Liliane Wong, Chair of Interior Architecture, Division of Architecture and Design at RISD.
