Key to Awesomeness:
Ryan was very upset when he heard about the disasters in Japan and felt so badly for the people living there. He decided he wanted to do something to help. He went to his school principal and asked if he could organize a fundraiser. Ryan’s teacher also supported his idea and found a charity that donates the majority of the money given to them to helping the victims. Ryan asked his classmates for help and everyone in the class volunteered. The fundraiser was titled “Joining Hands for Japan." March 25th was Red and White Day and kids were asked to make a $1 donation and wear red and white clothing. They raised $300.30. Next week the kids will be selling crafts made by his classmates to also help the cause.
