Pawtucket Driver Crashes After Police Try To Pull Him Over: Cops
The Pawtucket man crashed in Cumberland, police said.
CUMBERLAND, RI — A Pawtucket man crashed after a trooper tried without success to pull him over, police said.
David Ferreira, 19, was arrested in charges of driving so as to endanger resulting in physical injury, duty to stop for an accident resulting in damage to an attended vehicle, obstructing an officer in execution of duty and reckless driving and other offenses against public safety, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
"The arrest was the result of an attempted motor vehicle stop and subsequent motor vehicle accident on Diamond Hill Road in the Town of Cumberland," according to the release.

Ferreira was processed at state police headquarters, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a notice to appear in court, according to police.
