Pawtucket Man Arrested In Connection With Hit-And-Run Crash: Cops

CUMBERLAND, RI — A Pawtucket man was arrested in connection with a Cumberland hit-and-run crash, police said.

Charles Correa Cajigas, 32, was charged with duty to stop for an accident resulting in damage to an attended vehicle and obstructing an officer in the execution of duty, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

"The arrest was the result of a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash on Route 99 ... and a subsequent investigation by members of the Scituate Barracks," the release said.

Correa Cajigas surrendered at state police headquarters, where he was processed and then taken to Sixth District Court for an arraignment, according to the release.
