Annual Hound Hike Fundraiser on September 28th will Benefit East Greenwich Animal Protection League's Homeless Animals

Proceeds will Help EGAPL Establish its own Adoption Center

WHO: The East Greenwich Animal Protection League (EGAPL) is a no-kill 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization run entirely by volunteers which serves all dogs and cats picked up by the East Greenwich Animal Control Officer, animals owned by people who can no longer care for them, as well as animals in urgent need of rescue from other areas as funding permits.

WHAT: The Hound Hike, now in its 18th year, is EGAPL’s largest annual fundraiser, with all proceeds going to provide shelter, food and medical care of animals awaiting adoption and to enable the organization to continue saving more lives. EGAPL is currently raising money to buy a building that will serve as its own Adoption Center, so this year’s fundraiser is especially important. If you can’t attend the Hound Hike but would like to donate towards the new building campaign, donations can be made at https://www.tilt.com/campaigns/the-pawsabilities-capital-campaign/description.

Local vendors will also be on hand with samples of pet-related treats and information. Music, raffles, and a free lunch will also be provided as part of this fun-filled day for a great cause. Fee per hiker $20.00; you can download a pledge sheet from their website at http://www.egapl.org/events.html.
