Providence museums are nice, but not so much the 20 minutes searching for a free parking spot. The Newport galleries are quaint, but, for a Rhode Islander, that means packing an overnight bag in the trunk. Why not promenade around downtown East Greenwich to take in paintings, photos, and sculptures? There are plenty to see and, for a nice break, there are plenty of cafe's that offer stimulation for the mind and the palate.
