The month of May tends to be chock-a-block full of fun activities and this Saturday’s Arts on Main event is one of the best. Peirce Street and Courthouse Lane are transformed for the day (and as long as it doesn’t rain!) into a street art extravaganza.
Children and adults, individuals and families are welcome to create their own masterpieces chalk masterpieces, with the streets acting as the canvas.

It’s a fun day whether you participate or not. And while you’re there, you can visit an exhibit of artwork by EG public school students from grades 4 through 12 in. Both events go from noon to 4 p.m.
owner Jane Parillo, with the , is coordinating the event. She said event sponsors have been terrific. In addition to the Merchants, sponsors are the , , and Summer’s End.

You can register in one of four groups: 12 and under, teens, families, and 18 and up. Registration costs $10 for individuals and $15 for adults. With it, you get a t-shirt and a box of pastels, as well as the potential for a prize, if your work is chosen as a winner!
