EG’s Favorite Liquor Store? Savory Grape

The popular wine shop got more than a third of the votes in this week's Readers' Choice poll.

EG Patch readers voted the winner of . The 1000 Division Street shop got 38 percent (77 votes). That won’t be a surprise to commenters KBenj and Michelle.

“The Savory Grape is a fantastic experience from the moment you are warmly welcomed into their very fine shop, to the moment you take the last sip of whatever exquisite wine their knowledgeable staff helped you pick. It's a grown-up candy store,” wrote Kbenj.

“I don’t think you can beat the customer service … I agree with Kbenj; it is a grown-up candy store!” wrote Michelle.

In response, Jessica Granitiero — who owns the store with her husband Nino — wrote, “We strive on giving the best customer service, whether for wine, brews, spirits or food pairings, and offering a warm, inviting environment. Our staff is trained and know the products so you don't have to, unless you want to. As local residents, we are also proud to sponsor and support so many local initiatives that give back to our local community.”

Readers like and as well. Town Line got 28 percent (57 votes) and Thorpe’s got 26 percent (52 votes). It seems East Greenwich is well served by its liquor establishments!
