For the second time in two weeks, Dave's Marketplace hosts a famous chef.
in East Greenwich is coming to be a "must stop" for big-time chefs, if recent history is any guide. Just two weeks ago, "Iron Chef" Bobby Flay attracted hundreds and hundreds of fans to a book-signing at Dave's. On Tuesday, Emeril Lagasse was at Dave's to sign books for his fans.
"He likes the quality of the products that we have. We have a very nice reputation throughout the country actually right now," Ken Banalewicz of Dave's. "The line went beyond Gold's Gym to Cold Stone," he said. "It's been a steady two-hour signing."
Elaine Vespia, who works in the Town Clerk's office, was in line with her daughter, Robyn, and three books for Emeril to sign. She'd missed Bobby Flay and wasn't going to miss this opportunity.
