Senora Hook was selected to travel to Costa Rica with the Toyota International Teacher Program. Upon her return students have been learning about the conservation issues and environmental policies of Costa Rica.Our Costa Rica night will highlight the natural beauty of Costa Rica in a slide show, the 8th grade students' projects on the agricultural products of Costa Rica will be displayed and the 7th grade will be serving a typical Costa Rican meal which they have prepared.
Tickets are $30 for a family of four or $7 per person, children under 5 are free. In honor of Valentine's day students will be selling Fair Trade chocolates and hand made valentines made out of recycled paper. The Art Department will be displaying traditional Hispanic art.All proceeds will benefit Mission Mexico a Children's refuge in Tapachula, Mexico.
