A History of Quilts in Rhode Island is the subject of a talk at the East Greenwich Historic Preservation Society meeting on Monday, June 18th. Guest speaker Linda Welters, Chairman of Textiles, Fashion Merchandising and Design Department at URI, will give an illustrated presentation. Professor Welters was the Director of the Rhode Island Quilt Documentation Program in 2000, and co-editor of "Down by the Old Mill Stream: Quilts in Rhode Island."
