Native South County Musicians Join Forces on April 29 to Enhance the Arts in South County

Performers include: Saxophonist-Recording Artist Dan Moretti, Chris Vachon and Doug Woverton (both of Roomful of Blues), George Masso, Marty Richards, Marty Ballou and Dennis McCarthy to name a few.
All these gifted performers either live in South County or have roots here.

Narragansett, R.I.: On Sunday, April 29, 2012, Dan Moretti, Professor at Berklee College of Music in Boston; Tom Tessitore, Narragansett Parks and Recreation Department; Debbie Kelso, Narragansett Chamber of Commerce; and Kate Vivian, Narragansett Towers Event Coordinator, will present a fund-raising concert to benefit the Narragansett High School Band Program, The Narragansett Parks and Recreation Program Fund, and the Narragansett Chamber of Commerce Arts Promotion Fund.
The concert will feature a cross-section of musical styles from jazz and blues to R&B, and will be feature a performance by the Narragansett High School Jazz Band under the leadership of Dan Healey. Tickets are $15 at the door or $10 in advance and can be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce offices, Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm, narragansettri.gov.
Dan Moretti, saxophonist-recording artist and Narragansett native remembers . . . "I remember when there was no high school in Narragansett, never mind a band program. I'm proud to be a part of this event. South County is beautiful and I hope this event will help foster more engaging musical events and support for the arts year round"
