EVENT OF THE DAY: Rebuilding The Odeum
A fundraiser at Quidnesset Country Club tonight will help raise necessary money to complete the project.
The Greenwich Odeum theater on Main Street is making progress toward its goal of opening its doors in 2011. Organizers of the renovation have been working to implement the changes required to meet the fire codes and get the building guest-ready.
As always, money is the top obstacle.
To that end, the group spearheading the revival is holding a fundraiser for tonight at 6:30 at Quidnessett Country Club. Guests will enjoy cocktails, dinner and dancing to the sounds of Slippery Sneakers/Cajun Zydeco Band. There will also be silent auction items to bid on.

Tickets for the event are $75 each. Donations are tax deductible.
