Fine Weather And Crowds For MacGunnigle's Final Main Street Stroll
Thursday's Stroll marked Bruce MacGunnigle's 35th.
Thursday night's crowds were a nice send off for Main Street Coordinator Bruce MacGunnigle, whose last day is June 30. The perfect weather may have had something to do with it – people just seemed to need to be outdoors.
From one end of Main Street to the other, things were buzzing. At Filippou's, there was live music and their newly redone outdoor patio was full. Further on, Joyce DeLisle was holding court on her front patio and the porch at Besos Tea House was full.
All along the street, artists and musicians were displaying their talents and the free pasta at La Masseria was a hit. At the far end of Main Street, Zumba enthusiasts were doing their thing in front of the Varnum Armory.

On Friday The Green Door's owner Susan Swanson said while she appreciated the extra people on Stroll nights, Thursday was not one of the busier strolls. The weather, it seems, kept much of the action on the street.
The next Stroll is the very popular canine variety, when the Stroll literally goes to the dogs. It takes place Thursday, July 19, and features the Dog Parade.
