If you like to have an opinion and cheer for your favorites when it comes to the Oscars, you need to see the big films. This is the last weekend to fit them in before the official awards ceremony on Sunday night. Luckily, best picture contenders “Black Swan,” “The Fighter,” “The King's Speech,” and “True Grit,” are still playing at our local Showcase Cinemas.

If you’re a AAA member, you can buy a discount pack of four tickets to the theaters for $31 (a box office savings of $11 over the normal $10.50 general admission price), and all shows before 6 p.m. qualify for the matinee price of $8. Seniors and kids pay $7.75.
“Inception,” “The Kids Are All Right,” “The Social Network,” “Toy Story 3,” and “Winter's Bone” are all currently available to rent or purchase on DVD. “127 Hours” will be available on March 1.
