"Taste of East Greenwich" at the Main Street Stroll
It was a night of art, dance, music and food on Main Street Thursday.
Under blue skies and mild temperatures, people came to see the artwork, try samples of food from local restaurants, and listen to music as they strolled the street and checked out local stores.
It wasn't just locals who turned out.
"We just fell into it," said Suzanne Cohen from West Hartford, Conn. "We love East Greenwich!" Β Suzanne and her husband Alan had just dined in downtown East Greenwich.

Food that was served included gnocchi from Chianti's Restaurant on Forge Road, cookies and zeppoles from Main Street Cafe, fried wontons and onion rings from Cathay Garden, and a penne dish from La Masseria whose line at one point ran about thirty people long.
In addition, Focus Yoga had hoped to get a big turnout for a "flash mob" yoga event on the lawn in front of near the Centreville Bank. There wasn't quite a mob, but the lawn had several people practicing their sun salutations.
"We would like to introduce people to yoga any way we can," said organizer Karen Besson. "We want to get people involved."
The Zumba class taking place in front of the Varnum Armory was also popular with passersby. The Zumba class is usually held at the Armory every Tuesday and Thursday night. For the stroll, they decided to take it outside. Many people stopped to watch or honked horns as they drove by.
