Continuing a tradition more than two decades in the making, University Orthopedics is celebrating another successful year of providing Fall Sports Pre-Participation Exams for student-athletes of all ages, including those at the collegiate level.

Between University Orthopedics locations in East Providence and Mansfield, more than 100 exams were provided Saturday. More than 50 University Orthopedics doctors, physical therapists and staff members volunteered their time to make the event possible. The exams are required for all student-athletes who want to participate in school-sponsored athletics.

As the official orthopedic provider of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) and the Eastern Connecticut Conference (ECC), University Orthopedics is keenly aware that being a student-athlete is a challenge that requires a tremendous amount of diligence and sacrifice. The center aims to support the success of local student-athletes and their families by helping them begin their seasons safely, while also making the back-to-school rush a little easier.
