The candidates agreed on improving infrastructure but split over development density and surveillance, offering contrasting visions for how Riverside should grow while keeping the city affordable and financially stable.
3. It was a busy Tuesday night of high school sports in RI. Here's who won (providencejournal.com) — East Providence High's girls volleyball team rallied from a first-set loss to beat Prout 3–1, with strong performances from Audrey Bernard and Ella Grimley. The Townies' girls tennis squad also swept singles and doubles, and several upcoming games list East Providence as host or participant, giving local fans plenty to circle on their calendars.

Missing kayaker's body found in water near Providence's Gano Park (providencejournal.com) — A missing kayaker who launched from Providence's Gano Park was found dead Sunday, with a barge captain bringing the body to a dock on the East Providence side of the Seekonk River. Police report no immediate signs of foul play, and the state medical examiner is investigating the circumstances surrounding the 54-year-old man's death.
