Cheer Team is Out of Control

This letter was submitted by Luisa Abatecola.

It’s only the beginning for Ivan Hammond the owner and head coach of the Out Of Control Allstars Cheer Company located here in East Providence at 66B Commercial Way.

Ivan began cheering in his Florida high school on a bet between friends. That bet led him to where he is today. The gym serves the surrounding communities of Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Out of Control All Stars Cheer Company currently has a youth team, open team, senior team and a challenger team. It provides instruction in all areas of cheerleading, including tumbling, dance, cheer, and stunting.

On Saturday, Jan. 21, Out of Control Allstars Cheer Team made its debut in a Cheer Showcase for the teams’ family and friends. All the teams performed their routines which they will be competing with during this season. All the teams have been working hard on their routines since November, practicing two times a week for two to three hours at a time. All the hard work paid off as they showed of their routines to their family and friends and while their Head Coach stood with pride.
