In EP, Dog on a Roof is Tough Negotiator

In the end, he climbed back inside after "he had enough."

With a cool breeze and temperatures in the mid 60s most of Monday, it was a good day to leave the second-floor windows open to let in some fresh air.

It didn’t work out so well for one East Providence homeowner on Monday after their pooch ended up on the roof.

East Providence Animal Control posted about the incident on Facebook. The post stated that it was 8 a.m. and “this guy wanted to go outside and enjoy the nice weather.”

Unfortunately, this is where he ended up -- on top of the house.

The pooch must have felt on top of the world because it took about an hour of “negotiating” with animal control before “he decided he had enough and strolled back through the second story window,” the post stated.

The dog’s owner arrived a short time later and the window was secured, putting an end to this tale. Move over, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. East Providence has its own dog on a sloped asphalt roof.
