East Providence utilizes grant to make cybersecurity upgrades (eastbayri.com) — East Providence has approved more than $536,000 in grant-funded cybersecurity and network upgrades for City Hall, DPW, police headquarters, and all four fire stations, aiming to harden systems against outages and cyber threats. Funded by a $625,000 RIEMA grant, the work includes new fiber-optic connections and updated hardware expected to last years while sparing local taxpayers significant costs.

The broader log details several other Warwick-area arrests between Sept. 10 and 20, including DUI, hit-and-run, domestic simple assault, and suspects wanted on drug and breaking-and-entering warrants.
