Seven Stars Bakery is on Nice List, Gives to Rhode Island Food Bank
Over the last six years, Seven Stars owners have raised $47,000 to help feed Rhode Islanders in need.

The owners of will donate 100 percent of their Jan. 2 profits to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
Over the last six years, Seven Stars has raised $47,000 to help feed Rhode Islanders in need.
“On this special day, we express our thanks to our customers and our community by remembering that there are many Rhode Islanders who are struggling to put food on the table for their families," said co-owner Lynn Williams, in a press release. "We are committed to supporting our community through fundraisers and donations.”

More than 60,000 Rhode Islanders now rely on the Rhode Island Community Food Bank’s statewide network of 163 emergency food pantries to help meet their basic food needs. The need for food assistance in Rhode Island has risen 58 percent since the start of the recession four years ago. Nearly one out of three people served by the Food Bank is a child under the age of 18.
“At times like this, we’re especially grateful to businesses like Seven Stars who recognize the need to do something tangible and meaningful to help feed hungry Rhode Islanders,” says Andrew Schiff, CEO of the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. “Jim, Lynn and their wonderful staff have made a tradition out of
celebrating their own success by helping others.”
