Exeter Couple Fraudulently Used Food Stamps: Cops
The man and woman also fraudulently obtained more than $10,000 worth of property, police said.
EXETER, RI β An Exeter couple fraudulently used food stamps, police said.
Pedro Madrid, 37, and Dena Titus, 48, were arrested shortly after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and charged with obtaining more than $10,000 worth of property by false pretenses or personation, accessing a computer for fraudulent purposes, fraudulently obtaining more than $500 of public assistance, the fraudulent use of more than $500 worth of food stamps and giving s false document to an agent, employee or public official, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Titus was also charged with conspiracy, the release said.

Madrid and Titus were arrested at their Pine View Lane home, according to the release.
Madrid and Titus were "transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where (they were) processed and transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment," the release said.
