• Hopkinton Police Chief: Town Has No Flock Cameras (upriseri.com) — Hopkinton residents learned this week that their police department does not operate any Flock license plate reader cameras, and town leaders took no vote to add them. The police chief explained how the single state-run camera on Spring Street works, pushed back on ACLU privacy concerns, and the council also approved a 30‑year cell tower lease amendment and a $125,000 deal to use Richmond's transfer station.

• Hopkinton Assessor Details Cost of Senior Tax Breaks (upriseri.com) — Hopkinton's tax assessor told the Town Council that expanding senior property tax breaks—either a full exemption for residents 85+ or a tax freeze for those 65+—would each raise the overall tax rate by about 70 cents. With no changes approved, seniors 65+ under the income cap and residents 85+ can still apply for existing exemptions, which the assessor says are among the region's most generous.

• The end is near for US hemp THC market. But uncertainty continues for Rhode Island growers. (newsbreak.com) — A Hopkinton hemp farm is bracing for major changes as new federal limits on THC in hemp products take effect December 11, potentially making many of its popular drinks noncompliant. Rhode Island regulators say they must enforce the stricter rules, leaving local growers and retailers uncertain about what to do with existing inventory and how to plan next season's crops.
