5 Things To Know Today: April 8
One more day without Mohr; East Smithfield Library board games; stories at Oak Lawn Library; a night for Brownies and Girls Scouts at PCM; and today in history: What's a strike, eh?

Tomorrow's One Mohr Day: Today is the last day before Marian J. Mohr Library celebrates the of its new home, right behind its former abode. The event is rain or shine — at the moment, the forecast is for "shine" and temps in the 60s, so no excuse to miss probably the biggest event in the town until Pauly D shows up again (though I have no idea who he is).
No Board-dom Here: Oh, yes, it's terrible pun day. East Smithfiled Library hosts another round (or square — ha!) of board games from 2 to 4:30 p.m. It's free and offered for all ages.
Book Your Spot: Oak Lawn Library in Cranston offers a storytime (see? pun day) for 2- to 3-year-olds from 10:30 to 11 a.m.

Scout Out Some Fun: 4-for-4 on the puns so far. Providence Childrens Museum holds its latest after-hours "Wizard Wonders" adventure for Brownies and Girl Scouts tonight from 6 to 9:15 p.m. Registration fee is $16 per Scout and $5 per adult, which includes activities, refreshments, a fun patch, admission for the night and a pass good for a future visit. For information and registration call (401) 273-5437 ext. 234 or email provcm@childrenmuseum.org.
B-eh?-S-E-B-eh?-L-L: Sorry, fellow French Canadian descendants, I couldn't help it. On this date in 1969, the first professional baseball game was played between the Montreal Expos and the New York Mets. The X's won, 10-9. (from brainyhistory.com)
