Lettuce Party: May is National Salad Month, and today at 3 p.m., Marian J. Mohr Library is hosting a celebration of salad. Middle and high school students are invited to eat their veggies and learn about salads around the world.

Open Call For Basketball: Johnston Parks and Recreation is taking registration for its summer basketball league for students in sixth through eighth grades, starting today at the Recreation office inside Johnston Memorial Park.

Homeschool Adventure: Roger Williams Park Zoo hosts "Wild Rhode Island" today from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cost is $10 per homeschool family if pre-registered; $15 if you sign up today.
