5 Things To Know Today: Oct. 17

Halloween fun at Mohr; spooky fun at Roger Williams Park; coping with Alzheimer's; new JohnstonPatch poll; and today in history: first cross-border Series.

Today at Mohr Library, there's a showing of The Corpse Bride for kids in grades 6 to 12 at 2:30 p.m., part of the library's Halloween Movie Month.

Spooky Stroll: Roger Williams Park Zoo continues its Jack-O-Lantern spectacular tonight a 6 p.m. Lower rates for weekdays; discounts for members.

Message Of Hope: Also at Mohr Library, author Brad Pitman is scheduled to host a 6:30 p.m. presentation on his book Ma is Back! A Hope for Alzheimer's. Free and open to the public.
