Providence Man Charged With Hit-And-Run Crash Captured During Traffic Stop: Cops

JOHNSTON, RI — A Providence man charged with a hit-and-run crash was pulled over and arrested in Johnston, police said.

Jorge Morales Salvador, 33, was stopped on Killingly Street about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Morales Salvador was arrested on a warrant charging him with duty to stop in an accident — damage to attended vehicle, the release said.

Morales Salvador was processed at state police headquarters and turned over to the Johnston Police Department.
