Local resident and award-winning journalist, Jennifer Cowart, will be signing copies of her recently released book , "Baby Notes," at Borders Books, 90 Hillside Rd, Cranston, on April 30th from 1-3 p.m. "Baby Notes" is a book of advice for new parents featuring tips and thoughts from Cowart's own experience.
Cowart, a mother of three, a former elementary school teacher and the current education reporter for the Cranston Herald, based her new book on an original collection of “Baby Notes” she created in 2009 as a gift for her brother and sister-in-law in California who were expecting their first child.
Cowart thought it would be a perfect gift for mothers everywhere if she could make her list of tips into a book. She connected with Cranston-based Heart & Soul Publishing and the book became available for purchase on February 19, 2011 at www.babynotesbook.com or heartandsoulpublishing.com.

The book includes 60 helpful tips and situational truths for parents and matches tips with photographs of local families, including Cowart’s own children and extended family members.
