The Murder Trial of John Gordon, a new play written and directed by former Cranston resident Ken Dooley, is the story of John Gordon, the last person to be executed in the state of Rhode Island in 1843. An Irish immigrant, Gordon was found guilty of murder and ultimately hanged.
