The Zoo is seeking volunteer "citizen scientists" to join its FrogWatch USA program. Just attend the training session tonight and learn how to help monitor a local amphibian habitat like a nearby pond or lake. You'll be helping the Zoo collect data once a week for about 15 minutes.
Amphibian species are declining in high numbers all over the world. The data FrogWatch volunteers collect will help conservationists keep tabs on the amphibian population in New England and react if a decline is noticed.
A small materials fee of $10.00 will be charged per participating household to cover training materials (a household covers up to 2 adults, and up to two children per adult).
