EVENT OF THE DAY: Meet RIMOSA
The Rhode Island Museum of Science and Art visits Mohr Library tonight for a program on animation.

Tonight at 6:30 p.m., the newly-created Rhode Island Museum of Science and Art brings its animation program to Marian J. Mohr Library.
Here's how the RIMOSA website describes the program: "[S]tudents learn about 'persistence of vision,' the name often given to the way the human brain blends sudden changes into smooth motion. It is this interpretation by our brains that make movies possible. Students will make a Victorian era animation (a thaumatrope) to take home, and work in small groups to make their own stop-motion film to be premiered at the end of the outreach and to be viewed later on the RIMOSA website.
The free animation program is open for students in grades 6 through 12.
