Celebrate The New Mohr: On April 9 at 1 p.m., Mayor Joseph Polisena will preside over a for the new Marian J. Mohr Library. The mayor chose a Saturday so that residents of all ages could attend the event and celebrate the town's newest addition.

You Know Where The Library Is, At Least: The Johnston Historical Society is holding its second annual Great Johnston Scavenger Hunt from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 9. Use your digital camera or cell phone to capture images from the scavenger hunt list. $8 entry fee per team. Rain date April 10.

Book Sale At The Original Mohr: The Friends of Mohr Library will host a book sale inside the original library on Sunday, April 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friends President Helen Antonizio e-mailed us to let us know that prices range from 25 cents to $2, for books of all genres, media, and volumes that won't be moved to the new library.

PPAC Presents Madagascar: Okay, is Madagascar the one with the singing hippos? Lions? Tigers? All of the above? Providence Performing Arts Center is the place to reacquaint yourself with the movie. Tix range from $23 to $83 (for that kind of money, I'd better get a tiger suit). Performance times this weekend are April 9 and 10at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 5 p.m.

Support The Autism Project: Located right here in Johnston, The Autism Project hosts its "Imagine Walk and Family Fun Day" on April 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All sorts of fun planned; check out the listing for more info.

Two Hockey Games At The Dunk: The Providence Bruins will be playing two games this weekend. The first is Friday night at 7 p.m. when the B's play the Portland Pirates. The second is a 4 p.m. game this Sunday against the Manchester Monarchs. Tickets for each game start at $22.

Grab A Brew (Or 17) To Sample: Great International Spring Beer Festival has the answer for all that "ales" you. There will be two sessions this Saturday, April 9, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $37.

Soaring Arias Aplenty: The Providence Singers will present Orff: Carmina Burana at Veteran's Memorial Auditorium this Saturday at 7pm. Tickets for the choral performance start at $22.

Hotel California In R.I.: One of the nation's best Eagles tribute bands, Another Tequila Sunrise, takes the stage at the Lighthouse Bar this Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Free admission.
