Great Escape: Fall Festival Tops The List
The Apple Festival, Gamm Theatre's new season, and live music round out this weekend's events.

A special weekend is coming up, as a Johnston fall tradition continues. There's also plenty of live theater and music to keep you entertained.
- Tops on this week's calendar is the at Johnston Memorial Park. This is a great place to enjoy good food, great music, and lots of activities for the kids. The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
- If you visited the and still want to hear some local live music, check out . Flashback plays Friday night, followed by Dacoda on Saturday.
- John Hiatt and Big Head Todd visit Lupo's this Friday night for an 8 p.m. show. Tickets are $35 in advance, and $40 the day of the show.
- Gamm Theatre in Pawtucket hosts performances of Circle Mirror Transformation all weekend long (and through Oct. 9). Tickets start at $34.
- 2U, a U2 tribute band, performs at The Lighthouse Bar this friday night at 8:30 p.m. The band's set list covers U2's complete discography — and best of all — admission is free.
- Abduction, a movie about a teen running for his life after he finds out that his life is based on a series of lies, opens this weekend. Abduction stars Taylor Lautner, Lily Collins, Alfred Molina, Sigourney Weaver, and Jason Isaacs. For more information, visit Moviefone.com.
- The second-to-last Waterfire of the season takes place this weekend at sunset, complete with a scavenger hunt. If you haven't been to Waterfire this season, time is running out!
- You could check out some live music this weekend — or you can provide the live music! At 9 p.m. this Thursday, Sapphire Restaurant and Lounge will host karaoke. So, practice some tunes and get ready to wow the crowd.
