Great Escape: Spring Is In The Air
The circus is coming to town, along with great musicals and concerts.

Spring is in full swing, and you need to get out. And while there aren't many outdoor activities just yet, there are still lots of great things to see and do in the area.
- If you're in the mood for ribs, check out . Of course, there's lots more to choose from including steaks, sandwiches, and wraps.
- isn't fancy, but their prices are fair, the selection is huge, and the ice cream is awesome. With the warmer temperatures, a sundae sounds good right about now.
- Feel like fondue? If you do feel like fondue, you should check out The Melting Pot on the lower-level of Providence Place Mall. By the way, 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday is Ecstatic hour, featuring $3 Svedka Martinis and $4 glasses of Cupcake wine.
- Why not grab something to eat, play some pool, visit a bar, and take part in some karaoke or trivia? You can do it all at without leaving with empty pockets!
- It's finally starting to feel like spring. Why not dine outdoors at Mediterraneo?
After you've had your fill for dinner, there's plenty to do this weekend.
- The circus is in town! Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey come to Providence for 9 shows this weekend. Tickets start at $19, and show times can be found on the Dunkin Donuts Center's web site.
- Third Eye Blind play Lupo's on Sunday, May 1st at 8 p.m. If you feel the need to hear "Semi-Charmed Life" or "Jumper" live, this is your chance. Tickets are $27.50 in advance, $30 the day of the show.
- Comedian Ace Aceto performs three shows at Catch A Rising Star. Tickets are $20 for each of the three show times: Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.
- West Side Story will begin another run at the Providence Performing Arts Center this Weekend. Tickets start at $43, and performances are as follows: Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
- Rhode Island College will host the Bon Voyage Choral Concert, featuring the RIC Chorus, Chamber Singers, and Women's Chorus. The Performance will take place at Sapinsley Hall in the Nazarian Center at 8 p.m. You can reach the box office by calling (401) 456-8144.
