• Girls high school flag football officially sanctioned for Spring 2027 (turnto10.com) — Girls flag football is becoming an officially sanctioned high school sport in Rhode Island starting spring 2027, after growing through club games at Johnston High School over the past two years. Johnston athletes will now compete in a fully recognized league, backed by the Rhode Island Interscholastic League and supported by growing national interest in girls flag football.
