Radioactive Theatre Company Gives Back While Entertaining!

Radioactive Theatre Company is making their way to PJ's Pub in Johnston for a night of comedy and good food for the RI Food Bank.

In Rhode Island’s thriving arts scene, a new theatre company is ready to make its mark! Radioactive Theatre Company exploded onto to RI Arts scene earlier this summer with the renowned Providence 48 Hour Film Festival with their film Rhode Trip. RTC is a non-profit theatre committed to the emergence of new works on stage, film, and comedy. Their first staged production, Guido’s: Scenes from a Restaurant combines theatre and stand-up comedy for a fun night out! Staged at PJ’s Pub on Putnam Pike in Johnston, the show is indicative of what RTC has in store for Rhode Island; original theatre that tears down the fourth wall. What better place to produce a play that takes place in a restaurant than in a restaurant! PJ’s Pub has an appetizing menu, sure to please any appetite! From their homemade hummus to their signature 4 stack grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, the food is fun and delicious!

Guido’s Scenes from a Restaurant is a brand new comedy by RTC founding members Stephen Nani and Shannon McLoud. This play also features stand-up comedy from the wildly funny Bill Simas! The play explores four stages of a relationship from the first meeting to the married couple juggling jobs, babysitters, and kids. Tackling these familiar and hilarious topics are Tonia Klemp, Erin Megin, Michael Theroux, Steve Werbecki, Kelly Werbecki, and Dave McLoud Jr. Making their debut as the RTC kids; Audrey Dionne, Trent Nani, Brady McLoud, Ella Werbecki, Autumn Tapley and Willow Tapley. The show will also serve as a food drive for the Rhode Island Food Bank. The show runs September 13th at 3 and 6, and September 20th at 3 and 6 at PJ’s Pub in Johnston, RI. Tickets are $10 with the donation of a non perishable good, and $5 for students with a non perishable good. Come early and stay late to enjoy the fantastic items on PJ’s menu!
