Report: DJ Pauly D Subject Of Lawsuit
A Connecticut disc jockey claims that the Johnston native's use of the name "DJ Pauly D" is a trademark violation.

The Providence Journal reported on July 14 that a Connecticut disc jockey recently filed suit in U.S. District Court against DJ Pauly D, a Johnston native and star of the reality television show Jersey Shore.
According to the Journal report, Paul Lis of Farmington, Conn. claims that the MTV star, whose real name is Paul DelVecchio Jr., is using a stage name that is too close to Lis's performance moniker "DJ Paulie."
Lis's suit, filed in Hartford, Conn., seeks unspecified damages and names DelVecchio, Viacom (parent company of MTV), Fiesta Palms LLC and other companies as defendants.
